What our Residents Think
Centralised location with the feel of being far away when your in your apartment.
Been here almost a year and it’s a brilliant place for me and my partner. She works at the Airport so being close to the motorway she can jump straight on and be there in no time. For myself I work close by so I can walk to work, but I do love about so easy for me to utilise the motorway or the public transport.
Train station right on our doorstep to get to Manchester in 15 minutes or we can walk 5 minutes to Stockport town centre where they have shops, restaurants and cinema. Plenty of local bars and restaurants. The building itself is managed really well, constantly being cleaned and any problems that arise are sorted as quick as possible. A brilliant place to live, close to everything, but once inside it you have your own little space where you don’t get disturbed.

The design and management of the building is great
The design and management of the building is great, they have thought of a lot of aspects when designing the building. The only thing I would like improved is the gym facilities, apart from that everything is great and they stay on top of it as well.

Biophilic Design
Biophilic design is a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions. This building makes strong use of this design methodology. The Mailbox has ‘living walls’ on all four elevations – in total, an area of 1,200 sq m, made up of 114,500 individual plants. It is the largest area of living wall in the North of England. In addition, the scheme features an extensive roof garden and large atrium with substantial planters. Read all about our living wall and watch our latest video.
Biomass Heating Systems
Rise Homes have developed five biomass district heating systems and has a further four developments planned or in progress using this green technology. Biomass Heating reduces environmental impact in addition to reducing costs for our residents.
Supporting local manufacturers
Where possible both construction and soft furnishings are sourced locally and from British manufacturers for all our eco-friendly homes.
